No Urgency- STRAINING

For the past 1 1/2 weeks, I have had not much (if any) feelings of urgency to have a BM. I feel FULL and uncomfortable and try to go. I must straining terribly to pass soft stool. No blood, no mucus. I have also began having very painful "Charlie horses" in my abdomen- perhaps spasms. Any thoughts?

I recently had the same symptoms. Passed blood one night and then the symptoms disappeared. One week later the symptoms and blood came back and then disappeared overnight. Had a scope on Friday and all looks good! I never told my doctor about symptoms, so who knows..... maybe it was a blockage from mushrooms, nuts and corn during that week.

I was also thinking this sounded like a partial obstruction. Try greatly increasing your fluids and dialing back on the solid foods (especially bulking foods with a lot of soluble fiber- starchy foods).
