I use lots of VSL (4 DS packets per day). Since I'm never in remission, it's the best I can do. When I reduced the VSL last year I started to have symptoms, so I *think* the VSL lets me get by with a lower dose of antibiotics. The studies showed a stronger effect at preventing pouchitis than treating it, but I think it can help with both.

Can you get Vsl3 ds  any more?

It’s much harder to find than it used to be, but I get VSL #3 DS at Sam’s Club pharmacy. I don’t know if it’s true nationally, but in Maryland the pharmacy has to serve you even if you’re not a member.

Visbiome is almost identical (and is probably closest to the original VSL formula), and might possibly be easier to find.
