new left sided groin / hip pain

Hi,
I had 3-step jpouch surgery nearly 10 years ago and have chronic pouchitis on antibiotics. This past week I have developed quite a lot of pain in my left groin - pain at rest and when walking / moving. Not linked to any recent exercise / no recent injury. Anyone experienced similar? Any ideas as to what it might be? Many thanks.

I have the same thing off and on. I think it is due to my r/v fistula. see if you have any swelling or pain in the barthlolin are. You could have a forming cyst or abcess. Soaking in baths helps and keeping things clean and don't wear anything restrictive....

see your doc and then the doc can refer you to a pelvic floor specialist. However since this is new and you have had your pouch for so long I doubt it is pelvic floor disorder. but like I said see your doc.

Thanks for responses. Swelling got much worse and huge lump going down thigh, hot to touch and unwell. GP insisting DVT so had ultrasound which showed it wasn't so then have to wait for another scan. Started on antibiotics. Pelvic floor exercises ain't gonna fix this one!
