lately my butt has been so active wanting to pass little bits of mucus 2 weeks after my j-pouch was created. is this normal? any tips etc?

It is very normal and will happen until your takedown. Your intestines below your illeostomy continue to create mucus even though no stool is going through them and it needs to go somewhere. Its a dirty little secret they don't mention until after surgery when your wound nurse might tell you about it.
Try to sit on toilet regularly to pass it. You can also try maxi pads to absorb leakage.

Yep totally normal. And I agree, for some reason it is not told to us and we find out about it when it happens, thankfully we have this site to reassure us all is ok.
thanks guys so much. does sugar seem to increase mucus for any of you cause it sure seems to for me? i miss my diluted juice and apple sauce etc
