Nerve damage?

I would like to hear from anyone who may have been diagnosed with rectal nerve damage. I have had rectal pain after BM's since my 1 step surgery a year ago. I have had numerous tests such as MRI, catscan, anal ultrasound, manometry, defacography with nothing major identified. The ultrasound picked up a small internal hemorrhoid. But seriously, I can't believe that I get this much pain and discomfort from that. I am wondering if there is nerve damage. Does anyone know anything about it. Treatment? Does it resolve itself over time? Any insights most welcome. Gary
