Nerve block and first bowel movement | The J-Pouch Group

I had the second part of my 3 step surgery and got my jpouch on 2/11/25

Has anyone who received a nerve block during their surgery to help decrease pain? If so..how long did it last? The area around my stoma is mostly numb, and I noticed that when I urinate and wipe, I can't quite feel much around my genital area. Is this normalish?

Also about urinating...I seem to be having trouble/struggling to have a consistent stream. Hoping it'll get better over time?

How long was if after the jpouch surgery did y'all have a bowel movement? My Dr said I my not have a bowel movement until after the final surgery when my stoma is removed. I've had some leakage, but not an actual BM.

Any and all advice or tips are really appreciated!
