I had an MRI to rule out anything going on with my pouch last week due to lower back pain and mild on and off low grade temps. Dr Shen ordered it. His nurse called Friday to tell me Dr Shen was happy and everything looked good and nothing to worry about. But I just saw the report and I am a bit confused when reading it. Can anyone help me understand this until I hear from his office? it states....
RESULT: Status post colectomy with ileal pouch anal anastomosis.
There is wall thickening or mural hyperenhancement of the pouch. No
mesenteric fat stranding to suggest pouchitis. No free fluid or loculated
fluid collections to suggest a leak or abscess.
No fistula.
Bladder is unremarkable. Soft tissues are unremarkable. The osseous
structures are unremarkable with no gross abnormality.
It states " there is wall thickening or mural hyperenhancement of the pouch".
what does this mean? should it have a "no" in front of it, cuz everything else says no?.. Shen stated he was happy with results according to his nurse, but what does it mean?
