Hello everyone,

I am new to this site. Thank you for accepting me to join you.

I have question about pain in my upper middle abdomen. I have jpouch for long time. Last few weeks I started to have pain in my upper middle abdomen only when walking fast or climbing stairs or riding my bike fast or at night when go to the rest room and press hard. I saw my internist he said it could be heartburn (stomach acidity) or heart problem (cardiac).

Anyone has experienced this? And what is your suggestions could be the problem?

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to provide

I agree. Upper GI symptoms are usually esophagus/stomach/duodenum related. Cardiac origins are less likely, but a thorough internist would not rule it out without a few screening tests. It could even be adhesion related, which would not be directly pouch related, but history of abdominal surgery related.

It possibly could be pouch related, but unlikely. I have had upper GI symptoms with serious chronic pouchitis, but I also had classic pouchitis symptoms of frequent, urgent stools.

Sounds familiar to the problem i had years back, I had some small gall stones but docs said it couldn't be that because they were sooo tiny. They gave me e

verything under the table they could think of for heart burn,, acid problems etc..
