I am wondering if anyone goes to a colorectal surgeon/j pouch doctor at the Cleveland Clinic. My doctor James Church left a couple years ago and I need to see a new doctor soon.. Does anyone have any experience with any of the doctors at the clinic? I just do not think I will ever be able to replace Dr Church...he was a very empathetic and good doctor. Any advice would be appreciated.

Dr Church is at Columbia now, with Drs Shen and Kiran. https://columbiasurgery.org/james-m-church-md Is NY too far? I travel 3.5 hrs for care at a Columbia, and I've been pleased overall. They're great with video appointments, availability of which depends upon Dr's licensure and where the patient resides. I would guess Dr Church can still have video calls with patients in Ohio, for instance.
At Cleveland Clinic I would use Tracy Hull - have not met her but have attended several of her lectures.
What about Dr.David Dietz at UH Cleveland?
I had my pouch surgery at Cleveland Clinic in 2017 with Dr. Hull. I chose her after reading her PubMed articles, lecture videos and reading patient reviews. She’s been at CC a long time. I found her to be extremely patient centric, and I was impressed by how the nurses and staff respect her.
Dr. Megan Costedio at University Hospitals in Cleveland is an amazing surgeon.

Dietz at University 100%. He was trained by Dr Remzi and is head of colorectal there. When Remzi left Cleveland for NYC hes told me Dietz is the only doc he would recommend
