Hi all! Hope all is well with everyone? I had a episode last Sunday with intense nausea and vomiting (which I induced to get relief). I did make it through but it was bad. I had to put myself on a liquid diet for a few days and started to eat in small portions and very light food. I still am getting nausea and not sure why. Any suggestions?

It could be a number of things. Food poisoning, stomach bug or just something you ate that didn't agree with you. Keep yourself hydrated and if it gets worse I would call your doctor
Were/are you constipated??? Any overeating before it happened???
Noroviruses are very contagious and can be spread in many ways. The good news is that it is short lived in your body, for the most part. As long as you can keep fluids down and stay hydrated, you will be OK. If it is a bacterial infection, it can linger longer and you may need antibiotics. But, it seems like you are on the mend, so it is less likely it is bacterial.
I had a nasty GI bug a few years back when on travel. I was up with severe vomiting and diarrhea all night. I spent the next 3 days feeling like crap, but could at least drink broth and Gatorade. Fortunately, there were no lasting issues.

I have to add I'm still getting nauseated. This happened to me a few years ago more than once.
Peppermint tea or coffee saved me when a partial blockage happens but peppermint tea is a must have

Is it caffeine free???
I am never constipated. I am thinking that overeating and not sticking to my usual diet. Summer and the opening after covid19 brought back a lot of eating out. I don't do well eating out and anxiety could of have done it. I know that I am belching more and feel nauseated after eating.
I will wait it out until my ov with my GI Dr next month. Thanks for all your good responses.
