Narrowing of J-Pouch(surgery)

Hi,
Has anyone had surgery to 'fix' the narrowing of the j-pouch. I saw my doctor some-time ago and he mentioned surgery. I decided to wait and see if it would improve but lately it is becoming difficult at times to have a bowel movement. I have read many stories of people having dilation, but he specifically said surgery. I would like to hear from those who had surgery for this and also the recovery time...thanks a bunch..

Marianna, the doc may be talking about a stricturoplasty, where several incisions are made to try and create more space at the stricture site.

That said, find out from your doc and see just what he has in mind.
