Regarding my tip of j pouch leak....
Sometime in August, I will go into surgery with my surgeon,Dr.Shen, and one of his colleauges. Dr.Shen will attempt a brand new type of procedure called a Apollo ENDO stitch, that is typically used for upper GI type fistulas. He will do the procedure and check at that time to see if leak is fixed. If he cant get it to work, then my surgeon will take over and repair the leak surgically with staples. We will need to wait 6 weeks to see if surgery worked.
If Shens procedure works, out of hospital same day.
if surgery happens, 5 days in hospital and then 4 weeks off work.
