Zdravo !

Do you use mesalazine (mesalamine) enemas. For pouchitis or prevention. It is used for ulcerative colitis and for prevention. It is inserted through the anus mesalazim in liquid form. I am from Europe. I don't know if it's the same with you? I am interested in experiences if someone has used "liquid mesalazim".

It's called Mesalamine in the USA, with brand names Canasa, Asacol and Rowasa (I would suggest editing thread title to use all the names). I used it in the past with not much success, under the Rowasa brand.  I think it's designed for mild pouchitis more than moderate and in my case, antibiotics, and now Remicade, have been the only truly effective treatments.  With the enemas I had problems holding them in, and when you can't hold them in when you are flaring, it kind of defeats the chances of effective treatment.  If you can hold them, you might have better results than I did.
