For those of you in California, do you go to UCLA or Cedars-Sinai? What doctors do you use for GI and Surgeon?
Anybody know where Dietz is going to? Original surgeon was Fazio who isn't practicing anymore. Saw Dietz for a checkup and now not sure who to see for maintenance.
He's going to University Hospitals- about 5 blocks from Clinic. He is my surgeon & I think I will follow him. He starts 8/28.

Dr. Robert Wexner is a surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Fl. He mentioned to a member he does a few KP's per year. A possible option. Dr Wexner does not perform kock pouch surgery, he did one several years ago in conjunction with a BCIR Dr for a special case

I had a K pouch revision on Sept 12, 2017 performed by Dr. Jean Ashburn just before she left the Cleveland Clinic to move to North Carolina. Her new contact number is 336-716-0664.
One of her colleagues at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Sherief Shawki, is taking over her K pouch patients. I have been following up with him.
I just wanted to thank you for keeping this list. It was instrumental in my decision to move to New York to see Dr. Kiran. He literally saved my life. He is honestly the most intelligent and masterful doctor I have ever encountered (and I've see hundreds). He trained under the great Dr. Fazio at Cleveland Clinic and is now chief at Columbia. I cannot recommend him enough for any IBD related surgery. In any case, thank you for playing the role you did in all this.

Looks like there may be a MD in Roanoke Va Dr Fogel. Thank you so much for all this work. With no malice intended, most physicians acquire this distant stare when you mention a Kock Pouch. Fortunately I have a PCP who listens to me when it comes to the pouch

He did my surgery in 2015 and I was extremely pleased with the results. Just to add, he removed scar tissue on my intestines. This resulted in going from as many as three painful (and dangerous blockages) a week to none since then. Obviously I highly recommend him.
