Anyone heard of this before? My son just had a scope and the GI found a lumens at the rectal anastomosis. I searched here and found no posts. It was described similar to a sinus but wider. I’m not sure what the solution is. Our Gi found it but our surgeon is out of town and we really need him to take a look and suggest a plan of action.
My son has CARP. Recently started entyvio. Inflammation looks better than it did in December and is all down low. His pain has gotten worse and prompted us to admit him. He is starting TPN for bowel rest, nutrition, and hopefully weight gain. Eating = pain so he lost a ton of weight. Not sure if this lumens is contributing to his pain. They also dilated a mild stricture.
His biggest complaints are not being able to relieve himself efficiently and pain when pressure builds up and stool hits the rectum.
