I am not a great role model for balanced nutrition and eating due to my lifestyle but I do have some hard and fast rules.
1 is bananas...I take them with me wherever I go...in midmorning when the nausea creeps up on me (around 11am) I grab one a poof, I a good for another 2hrs. Do the same in the PM between classes.
2. Yoghurt, plain, Greek or any kind you like...Gives me what I need to survive the day.
3. Juice. I don't drink it in the daytime but it is my morning energy fix.
4. I keep mini snacks in my purse like a mini chocolate (if it is bigger I will eat it so those tiny 'hotel pillow' squares are perfect.
5. Water, water, water and when in doubt, more water...mini packets of salty nuts help too...I just use snack sized ziplocks and fill with dried cherries, cranberries, raisins and salty nuts...Gives me my sugar and salt.
Tiny snacks throughout the day keep me balanced and then I eat my meal at night where I am safe to deal with my pouch at will.
Not your favorite weight watcher's diet but it works for me.
When I am not working things change radically...I eat carbs, grill meats etc.
