Had my jpouch surgery September 2011 followed by the takedown in December 2011. Everything went according to plan with the exception of a bad infection following the second surgery which landed me in the hospital for another week. Since this past early spring I've been bleeding internally which has caused my blood counts to be way off. This has resulted in blood transfusions and iron infusions. Have also had two pouchoscopies since along an upper scope and swallowing the camera pill, all of these efforts looking for bleeding and coming up empty handed. Pouchitis and cuffitis has also been ruled out. Now getting ready for another pouchoscopy to see if they can find the bleeding along with another round of iron infusions. The bad blood counts of course make me extremely tired and are very concerning. Other than that I feel great. Just trying to get over this last hurdle so I can be completely healthy once again. Anyone else have experience with bleeding that has been hard to pin down?
