Not a pleasant subject, but just wondering what's typical (not necessarily 'normal'). Firstly, the need for me to make a trip to the bathroom is completely random. Each day is different, making any type of planning completely impossible. I average approximately 11-12 trips per 24-hour period. That's bad enough, but what's just as bad is the fact that each visit to the bathroom requires a minimum of 15 minutes and often as much as 30+ minutes before I feel like I completely emptied and can safely leave the bathroom. When I had my ileostomy, I could generally be out of the bathroom in 5-8 minutes typically.
