A few weeks ago I posted a topic about my wife having hepatitis.
Things got pretty serious and we were transferred to kings college hospital, London. It's one of European top places for liver disease and a transplant centre.
Last week she had an emergency transplant, she probably only had a few days to live so it was life saving. So now she has a j pouch and someone else's liver!
The docs didn't really know the cause of the hepatitis, and we are still waiting on some test results, but she did have signs of primary schlerosing cholangitis (which is linked to uc).
I was just wondering if anyone on here has also had a liver transplant and has it affected pouch (and things like pouchitis). As she will now be on immunosuppressants for the rest of her life (inc. prednisolone) I thought it must have some effect.
Thanks,
Tom
