lidocaine 3% hydrocortisone 0.5% cream kit

A gastro put lidocaine cream on his finger and inserted it in my butthole. Maybe try putting it on your finger and putting in your butthole gently? That might help.

Debbie, did anyone at the pharmacy say anything about it being discontinued or backordered? When I looked online I only see various topical creams. No kits. Maybe you can contact the manufacturer and find out what is up. I hate it when you finally find something that works and it vanishes from existence.

Hi Jan - nice to hear from you.  I tried to get the pharmacy to tell me if it's been discontinued or back ordered but can't get a straight answer.  (My wonderful pharmacist just moved away.). I"ve also tried calling the company but have not yet gotten through.  Will keep trying.

Of course with the holidays and the pandemic and weather issues, shipments are interrupted all over. I hope you get an answer soon, since it seems that there is only one company that makes this specific product. Otherwise, you will have to improvise.

Following.  Would love to know what this product is, and if/when it becomes available.   Was this initially a prescription item?  I swear by Calmoseptine for topical, but every so often, an internal product would be more useful.

Hi, I came across this lidocaine cream on amazon today, says it’s a rectal care cream. Maybe this would be a good substitute.

Thank you.  The beauty of the stuff I like is the applicator.  The cream comes in individual servings (doses?) and the applicator has little holes along its length so the medication comes out along a short distance.  It's like magic -- stops the pain dead in its tracks. 

I've contacted the manufacturer and they are completely baffled about the unavailability.  Someone very nice at the company is working on this.  I will update if I find it.

Finally, finally I got my cream kits!  It took a lot of work -- I ultimately called the manufacturer and they were shocked that all of my local pharmacies claimed they couldn't get them.  A rep from the manufacturer (Seton) called both the distributor used by my local CVS (McKesson) and the pharmacy.   Then, after I pestered the pharmacy for 2 more weeks, I finally got it!  Note -- it was not covered by my insurance -- $43 for a box of 20 but I don't use them that often.  They are life savers when I need them.  NDC #: 13925-165-20.  Make sure you ask for a box of cream kits rather than a single tube so you get the right applicator.

Please tell me what is so special about this.  Is it for cuffitis?  I’m looking for anything that will help with cuffitis. I’m so tired of the pain and medicine not working.  I’m so ready to go back to the bag.  Please help me out.  Thank you.

I would say give Greek Yogurt a try and probiotics, that helps a lot!!!!

Have you tried Mesalamine or biologics???

I think what makes it so special is that the cream reaches my pouch at exactly the right location.  The lidocaine combined w the cream stops the burning almost immediately. However it is not for cuffitis as I don’t have a cuff ( hand sewn redone pouch). Greek yogurt does not help if you’re completely lactose intolerant as I am.   We don’t know the source of my chronic burning but suspect a combination of nerve damage during surgeries and very tight muscles.
