No, neither of them worked for me when I had UC. Actually no drug worked for me which is why I opted for surgery. I'm sure they work for the vast amount of UCers who use them, though.
I never took levsin until I had a J Pouch and was diagnosed with "spasmodic pouch" or excessive motility shortly after take down. It's an anti-spasmodic. It really helped me with the motility issue although I had side effects which consisted of feeling very loopy and lightheaded. Donnatal is a similar drug that has less side effects IMHO.
I can't recall if it was levsin, bentyl or both that I placed under my tongue and allowed to dissolve. I haven't taken it in almost 20 years so I can't recall.
everyone is different when it comes to taking any medications. I have taken both levsin and levebid for years.I was recently prescribed it by my new gastro md..For me THANK YOU LEVSIN
I took it and Bentyl for months. I don't need them anymore unless my small bowl is moving around to much. Levsin I had far less side effects than Bentyl. But after taking Bentyl for a week I had no side effects.
