Could be, but you are better off with smaller amounts of salt throughout the day, like salt tablet supplements and salty foods. If you consume a lot at one time, you actually dehydrate and loose salt trying to balance the bloodstream. By the way, never give salt in those quanties to small children! Could be fatal!

oh, and consider slowing your gut with Imodium or similar to give more time for nutrient absorbtion.

Tomatoes, potatoes (steamed or boiled ), pickles or olives in brine (sip the juice too), sweat and sour everything  (salt and vinager chips...) all help...binding agents are baked potatoes with tomato sauce that put pay to your cramps...baths with sea salt, muscle  massages...

They all help to a certain degree, just mix and match to taste.
