I am having surgery to cut an adhesion band in the upper part of my j pouch.
Has anyone had that and what is the recovery like?

Yep. Had it in 2007. Helped me tremendously, but I was apparently not a huge adhesion maker - just 2-3 that really narrowed my small intestine in a couple places. Surgeon told me she had done the same procedure the day before on a woman who had 20-30 adhesions. It's the old, "Everyone is different" thing.
Recovery was not bad - she did it laproscopically. I think my bowels moved by the next day and I was discharged in the afternoon.

I've had a few cut during other surgeries (hernias, gallbladder) and it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
More a sense of relief than anything else...after a couple of days of gas, discomfort and pain.

I had adhesion removal like 6 years already Wow after 2 weeks you should be fine
I’m 2 and a half weeks out from surgery and still in pain. Did you experience pain for a bit after the 2 weeks?
