LACTULOSE AND DIABETES

Hoping someone would might have some knowledge on this. I having been having trouble emptying pouch- i finally went back to surgeon- dr milsom- whom i love- he scoped me- and thing are ok- but did give me augmentin which has helped- and now told me to try lactulose- when i picked it up i noticed( after i left the pharmacy) that it states to be careful if you are diabetic- i have very controlled type 2 diabetes. I put a call into docs office and no call back yet- one down side to his office, and i am going to call pharmacy- but i would only be taking 1 teaspoon to start. he also suggested to take florastor as a probiotic- which i like- any one taking lactulose and is diabetic?
