Does anyone else have kidney disease or HBP after having a Jpouch for 10+ years? I’ve had my Jpouch for 24 yrs and had a redo 9 yrs ago. I was in the hospital for a month afterwards and was put on Toradol, an anti-inflammatory drug during the whole stay. I came out with kidney disease. My Nephrologist said my kidney disease was from taking Toradol, even Advil can cause kidney disease according to her. The problem is, I’m always dehydrated, I think because I always have diarrhea. I take 2-4 Pepto a day. Tried Lomotil years before and it just stopped working on me. Immodium backs me up. I’d rather go more often than feel stuffed.
Now I have High Blood Pressure which could be from Kidney Disease? I always had Low Blood Pressure until recently. We moved to our retirement house in Florida and our 2 grown kids & mentality handicapped brother in law moved with us. So there is a little more stress. But they help out quite a bit so it balances out for the most part. 3 dogs, only 1 is mine, & one old cat adds a little stress too.
Just wondering how’s everyone’s overall health after surgery years later?
