keeping the rectum or J-pouch; what would you choose?

Thnaks Kathy and Ikh, sorry haven't answered, we had a cyclone here and net/phones have been out for 2 weeks. My op was cancelled cos I accidentally ate some of hubby's lunch without thinking when I was making it in the morning, haha!! Oh well, now its this Thursday 14th Feb, bit worried cos been having alot of pain and bleeding last week, oh well, no doubt I'll find out soon enough whats happening. I hate the enimas, and nothing happens anyway so I don't know why they do it, I asked the specialist why nothing happened and he said the enima is designed to work on the rectum and as I haven't got one the pouch absorbs the liquid, WHY DO IT THEN????
