Hi Auntie Jojo,
(I love the name!)
I've been juicing since I was 16 and my mom taught me that it was the best way to deal with my disease and get my nutrition...we played with it a lot but found that anything carrot/parsley based was great to stop the guts from running and full of A's and Iron...since then I always juiced and used ton of herbs to get the extra minerals + all that flavour. I usually take 1 veggie for a base flavour and then add an herb and some fruit to it...ends up being pineapple, carrot, basle or tomato/celery/cilantro or some mix of apple/celery /lemon with a 2nd fruit...
My main bases were always carrot, apple, pineapple, celery, tomato..because that is what worked well in the juicer but use your imagination and don't forget to test with quantites too...some may work against your pouch so start slow.
Ps...I am finding that pomegranite (sp?) juice is really pouch friendly.

Hi Joanne,

I have a Nutribullet and love it! I used to use juicers in the past but the Nutribullet is 10x easier to use and especially to clean than an actual juicer.

My nutrition has improved considerably after getting the Nutribullet in the last year. It allows me to eat things that otherwise I had trouble digesting.

I usually do mixed greens as a base, and then add in fruits like berries, grapes, apples (or whatever is in season), and top it with either nuts or flax or chia seeds and also water. Sometimes I add greek yogurt. It all blends down to a liquid I can drink.

And like Sharon said, start slow and find what works for you. Good luck!

PS - I first got the Magic Bullet (made by the same company as the Nutribullet), but that is a lot less powerful than the Nutribullet. The Nutribullet works way better for veggies. I also have a big Breville juicer that I sometimes use for making larger batches of fruit juice, but that is getting rare now since it is so much more work to clean it than the Nutribullet.
I watched the doc called fat, sick and nearly dead or something like that. Was about this guy juicing only for months and lost tons of weight. Inspired me to buy a good $200 breville juicer. I use it a decent amount. I had planned on doing one day per week of only juice but I find I have to drink A LOT to quell the hunger so I just do it now and then. Ive been reading beets can have positive effects on athletic performance though as a preworkout brew.
