I'm now searching for a new job. My boss needs me to be at work more and not out as much.
Do you mention health issues when applying or interviewing or do you wait till you get the job. I know this could be a huge turnoff for hiring.

Don't know, I have been self-employed my whole life but yes, I would wait until they hand you a contract to start negotiating insurance and perks...pointless until they and you know if you guys are compatible...(sort of like discussing kids before you know if you like the girl)

Thanks. I got this job weeks after my jpouch surgery. i never mentioned it for years as things were great. The last few years have been rough for me, it still feels like its day to day. plus I have gained so much thanks to the steriods and the inability to eat healthy.
im telling my boss tomorrow.So if I dont find another position I will be home with my kids for the summer. Which I would love.
