Just got an email from Dr. Remzi's nurse telling me that Dr. Shen has discussed his findings with Dr. Remzi & he wants to initiate humira & antx therapy. Can you explain what antx therapy is? Thanks!

Not sure, antibiotic therapy perhaps? Usually the abreviation is abx for antibiotics. Maybe it is a typo. But, they should not be using medicalese shorthand in their emails to patients.

Dr. Shen also said he found another fistula (that makes a total of 4!) - a perianal fistula. I googled this & I just don't have the symptoms that I find in my search. I do have occasional anal leakage during the day & during the night but no pain, no bleeding, nothing like that. How can there be a perianal fistula w/o symptoms of one? I have emailed these questions to him but no response yet. Can you help me understand this, please? Thanks!

Antx therapy might be referring to anti-tnf alpha therapy, which is what humira targets. I'm not sure, but that's my guess.
