Hi Liguy11,

I had more than a few openings through the abdominal scar and the scar had dehyssed more than a dozen times.

I was left with an uneven crater about 2 inches wide, and 15 inches long. There were deep 'holes' as well.

It also left me with 2 very uneven sides including one that was pushed sideways and very lumpy. I had 3 old stoma sites and one old colostomy site plus all sorts of other fun scars...9 in all.

After years of hating myself and what I looked like I decided to have it fixed.  The surgeon reduced 3 scars down to 1 and redid the colostomy scar which was horizontal and spread wide. The vertical scar got resected and is now much narrower. They did lipo on the right side to remove a large fatty cyst  as well.

The result is far from perfect but I no longer hate myself and can look in a mirror without cringing.

I do not regret having it done but the cost was 3 more surgeries and a lot of pain.

Only you know if it is worth it to you.

Sharon
