Not heard of it but interested in the answer as just had a bowel obstruction and they used a baloon thing to return the bowel back to normal size. Did a scope up the never regions and then blew air into a baloon thing at the site of the narrowing and returned the bowel to normal function. Had J pouch for 14 years and first obstruction.

After being in one hospital then asked to be transferred to another for a specific doctor, the bowel obstruction or what was making me so sick actually took care of itself. the way the doctor explained it (like a rubber band that gets twisted it might go back to correct position on its own} I had actually gotten sick over about five yrs at times and this doc said he thinks it was scar tissue causing it. Before surgery I had suffered with something coming out of rectum that looked like stoma. when calling gastro she said (through nurse)sounds like pouch has prolapsed and you would have to see a surgeon so I did. You now how it is after cleaning out all night, being scared about the apt. pain of exam. well I understood she was referring to the pouch prolapse when she said she was not concerned about it at the time. after about 7yrs I am finding out she was referring to a hemroid. last surgeon said not even possible to get one so I contacted dr that did surgery in 1985 b/c I am thinking either I can or can't and I am putting it to rest. said I can. Sorry to rattle on but I am quite overwhelmed and having same problem again.

Just saw my surgeon yesterday for a similar concern. I didn't know what was protruding out of my back end but it worried me because I hadn't noticed it before. After examining me, my surgeon said it was a large skin tag which had become irritated. My pouch was fine. Whew! I had forgotten I had that skin tag because it hasn't given me problems for at least 7 years. He told me to increase fiber supplements such as Metamucil and use cornstarch on the area to soothe and heal the skin area which had become very irritated. I'm relieved! Best wishes on needing a simple fix!

i'm having a hard time following this...
the surgeon examined you and said you have a prolapse? or not? a hemorrhoid? what is the problem exactly? the surgeon would need to examine you. it's hard to tell from what you are describing.

pouch sticking to anterior? not sure if this is a big problem or not. i know some people have had their pouch tacked to their tailbone intentionally (not common, but it was because their body didn't scar the pouch in place). also, with prolapses, they tack the pouch in place as a fix.
