Hi. I'm a male who has had a j-pouch for almost a year now and I haven't had sex since the surgery but once in a while I will masturbate. But the problem is that my pelvic area will hurt and be sore for a few hours after. Is this normal?. Is it safe to masturbate with a j-pouch?. What about sex?. It is safe for folks with J-pouches to have sex with or without a partner, though I’m not sure if anal sex is advisable. It’s not typical for it to hurt as you describe, and you may want to discuss it with your doctor, though I fear the answer may be unsatisfying.
Sounds unusual. And while I don't think it's where your question was heading, receptive anal sex has been done by at least one person on here but that was over a decade ago I read on that.
