How long are J pouches suppose to last?

No one knows, though some are pretending to know. Many of the originals are still in operation. Some do fail, though, for various reasons.
Being that it is complication free and well functioning, I was told it will last as long as I do. It's made from the small intestine so it's not like it's going anywhere or that it's a foreign object for the body to one day reject.
