The big day is finally here. I go in for the first stage of the two stage j-pouch surgery tomorrow morning at 6AM. I wish the surgery was already over and done with and I was on the way to rcovery, but I still have a few more hours to wait.

Thank you all for the amazing support and advice!! I keep you updated about how it goes.

The IVs and drains are coming off one by one and I think I should be heading home tomorrow. I still get sharp shooting pains in the stomach randomly. Is this normal given it's only been six days since surgery? I don't think that's incision pain though.

Can't wait to get home and move on!! Thank you once again for all the wonderful support and advice!!
Maybe we should talk and be buddies. I had my J pouch built on Jan 15th. I had a blockage on the 21st and had to go back to the hospital but am home now. Walking some and antipating staples and road coming out on Tuesday. I know that will very painful but try to say it is just one more step closer to the takedown. My takedown should be first or second week of April. I am terrified of the recovery process, leaking, butt burn, embarrassment. How are you feeling ? Do you have someone at home who helps you with daily things ?
