Hello everyone, I was wondering how people in this group with no rectal cuff deal with internal hemorrhoids?  I use suppositories of various kinds for them, but when I put them in before bed as directed, they spend a little too long and tend to go upstream, causing my pouch to become irritated.  They do help the internal hemorrhoids, though!  I was wondering if you know of any treatments for internal hemorrhoids that don't irritate the pouch?

My solution has been to insert the suppository while I'm upright during the day, especially in the morning when I'm empty.  That way the meds stay closer to the area that needs treating.

The reason why I'm asking particularly about those with no rectal cuff is that it provides another valve to keep the meds in place, if I'm understanding my anatomy correctly.  With no cuff, the meds can go right into the small intestine/pouch.

I look forward to your feedback!
