Hope everyone is doing well. Did any of you sustain an injury like a hernia or pulling your abdominal muscle while you had your ileostomy bag? I know with a stoma it wouldn't be that difficult to get injured. I don't have massive swelling or anything, but it just doesn't feel right. I've looked at photos online of people with stoma's having hernias and I don't look anything like that. Not sure how bad this would impact the second stage of the three surgeries coming up in a few weeks. I have an appointment with my surgeon, but I was wondering if any of you had experienced something like this and what was the outcome. It's been a long 4 months time between the first and upcoming second surgery, so this really sucks that this happened. Hopefully I don't get bad news when I see my surgeon this week. Thanks

I am sorry this happened JOE! I would not rely on pictures; I would suggest to the doctor for him to prescribe radiology work just to make sure. When is your appointment??? And what were you doing prior to this happening???
Hi Lauren, I have an appointment with my surgeon today to look at it. It was kind of a freak accident, happened when I was helping my mom get up after she fell.

Sorry to hear that Joe! How did the appointment go???
thank you. The appointment went great. The other day I got an ostomy belt that worked wonders. The surgeon said I'm fine and still on schedule, thank god. I hope you are doing well too.
