Incision site clothing

I currently have a long scar from a incision I had on my midline in December. I'd say it's 5 inches long. There is still holes that haven filled in my skin as well. When I wear shorts, or anything really it makes my incision site swell and is painful due to the waste band I believe. I've tried not wearing underwear and it doesn't help, when I'm around the house I will just wear a robe and underwear but I don't really know what to wear when I leave the house of if this swelling and problem will go away since my incision site is relatively new.. also have my dreaded take down in 3 days

This doesn't sound right; is your Doctor, Surgeon or Nurse aware of this ?

Is the the wound hot to touch or noticabily warn compared to other areas of skin of your abdomen, if so, I'd say you have some kind of infection.

After the creation of my J pouch; other than discomfort when getting up whilst in bed or moving from the bed to a chair, I experienced no pain at all and within 10 days my wound had healed to an extend that a dressing wasn't even required but was still applied to reduce risk of infection.
