Okay, it has been 12+ week since my surgery. My surgery went from laproscopic to a full belly button down incision due to complications. The pain after was the normal pain. However, after work tonight I felt the strangest I've had to this date. When I bend down or that area is scrunched up I feel a bit of pain. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar type of pain.
Working retail I was on my feet from 4-12:30am. It's tax-free holiday weekend in SC and my corporation thinks staying open until midnight is reasonable. My surgeon has me limited to 10 pounds of lifting. However, I tend to break that by lifting our Westie, small printers, half cases of paper, etc. Never had any pain after work and I've worked 7-8 hour days since the end of June. I was sore many days originally after I started back working and thought that was natural. This just doesn't seem as natural. I am hoping it's simply the scar tissue and a bit of rest will help it.
I say all this instead of visiting my surgeon because I am cancelling my health insurance. It's maxed from surgery. I have been denied the regular health care insurance due to now having a pre-exisiting condition. So I've decided to go health insurance free for six months so I can apply for government health care. Yes, I don't like it, but the fact it doesn't discriminate due to my conditions is the reason I'm doing it. If anyone has any ideas or any experience it would be greatly appreciated. I have an perm. ileostomy instead of a j-pouch, but it would seem outside of that the surgery is basically the same.
