It varies from person to person. I suggest you try both and see which one works better for *you*.
I prefer Lomotil. Many people prefer Imodium.

my doctor prescribed the LOMOTIL 2 tables 3times a day ,is that alot? My stool is formed but I'm still going more than 10 times a day
Metamucil
I have loperamide but even when I take 8 per day I still get diarrhea and go like 6 to 8 times per day. When I don't use them though I go double that and usually leak. I'm in my 7th month post takedown.
Is their much of a difference between loperamide and lomotil
They both work in similar ways, but lomotil is prescription only and is a controlled substance. Imodium (loperamide) can be purchased over the counter, so is easier to obtain.
