Imodium and Lomotil

Can you mix the two? I have been prescribed to take lomotil 2 tablets every 6 hours, but especially on days like today, it's not working very well and I'm wondering if I can take one imodium in between times I take the lomotil. Not sure what's happened but starting in the middle of the night last night I've been in the bathroom nearly every hour--but I'm not in any pain.

Not ideal, but yes. The main thing is to do it gradually, as there is a cumulative effect and if you overdo it, it can be a show stopper!
