I used to take daily a year ago, but now I take Pepto Bismul daily, (2 in am, 2 in evening) and no Imodium.

I have realized that coffee may be the irritant to my pouch causing me to have way too many urgent movements. Has anyone else tried cutting out coffee?
Maddie I gave up coffee when I had UC, and for sure haven't started again. Even decaf bothers me. But I do enjoy a cup or three of tea a day.
I used to drink a lot of coffee. I now do one cup every morning.
I couldn’t tolerate coffee before my surgery. Now I have it every morning.
Sorry to sound snippy but what does coffee have to do with Imodium?

The OP didn’t ask a question, but the post itself was about an alternative to Imodium (Pepto Bismol in this case). The conversation veered to another way to reduce the need for a bowel slower like Imodium - @maddie18 cut out coffee. A few people weighed in on coffee, so that’s where the conversation went. It’s not entirely off topic, though I would have chosen a different name for the topic, and I’m not at all sure that Pepto Bismol is a “better” drug than Imodium to be taking chronically.
