I have found Ilex to be the only thing that can help my butt burn, especially when my stools are highly liquid. It can be a lifesaver! However, I’ve noticed that it will often seep through my underwear and leave an oily stain on pants, especially if I’m sitting for extended periods of time or sweaty. Has anyone else who uses Ilex experienced this? Any suggestions for stopping these stains (or getting them out)?

Have you tried the Calmoseptine? It’s almost more of a paste.
I had first started using just a generic store brand cream and it was too “lotiony”. The Calmlseptine sometimes would leave residue on my underwear but I never noticed it seeping through further.
I have used calmoseptine, unfortunately it exacerbated butt burn rather than soothe it. I found the menthol to be painful, while the Ilex creates more of a barrier.
Ah. Yeah that minty tingle caught me off guard the first time I used it haha.
Unconventional but use a pad.
Women's pad. Just stick it to your underwear.
Viola!
It works. And you get used to it. Better than ruining you shorts and pants. I used them for years no big deal.
As for the menthol in calmoestine. Wow. I used it once.
Burn. I used the cheap baby ilex from that point on.

I go through that with Calmospetine. I honestly just deal with it, as long as my butt burn/itchiness is okay, that is all that matters lol.
My routine is ilex paste, small amount vaseline over top of it to reduce sticking, then a 4x4 inch non sterile gauze to protect underwear and pants as it absorbs small leakage as well. Ilex tubes are expensive, anyone know where they can be purchased for a decent price?
Try using pantry liners if you find women’s pads too thick and bulky. Panty liners are thin, absorbent, and stick to your underwear nicely to protect the fabric. They are cheap if you buy them at any Dollar Store.
I use panty liners. Very thin, don't even notice them.
Thanks all! Tried Always liners and they seem to work ok. They move around a bit on me so I think I will try a different brand next time.
After applying the paste, I roll small piece of tissue paper and keep it in there . It helps me a great deal.
Sudocrem once a day after showering and changing undies twice a day may work.
I use Preparation H cream or wipes. No mess. A littles goes a long way. Soak in Epsom Salts bath nightly.
I love the zinc spray. Oh my gosh I wish I had found it sooner. And it stays in place and works very fast. It’s awesome and easier. Good luck.
