If you still have UC/Crohns issues

If you still need treatment for UC/Crohns symptoms do you see a separate dr. For the care of your pouch and GI for the us/crohns. I'm being referred to a new surgeon from my current GI b/c of a stricture. I didn't think to ask them if I still needed to see them for the other issues or if I see the colorectal surgeon for both. My appointment is in a month and of course I'll tell him everything and I'm sure he'll let me know, I was just curious.
