Hi everyone,

I've been a member of this forum for about 10 years having had Jpouch surgery in 2012. Although I haven't posted, it's always been reassuring to see everyone supporting one another through this forum, and I've gained some useful advice from posts over the years.

To help support fellow IBDers, understand more about IBD in general and help others share their stories, I've decided to start a podcast. I remember at times how alone I felt when I was very sick, so if I can help just a few people feel less isolated it will be worth it.

I'm looking for willing volunteers to share their stories and feature on my podcast with me.

It's pretty easy to take part and I can record and interview you over the internet easily (just audio, not video) . If you're interested in taking part let me know and I'll do all the heavy lifting. All you need to do is turn up, tell your story and have a conversation with me about your experiences.

Just to be clear, this is not for profit in any way, it's to help others who may be struggling with IBD and to raise awareness.

Richard

Hey there! I may be interested..

diagnosed in 2006, after being misdiagnosed for four months.. total colectomy in august 2006, after trying mass doses of prednisone, cyclosporine, and remicade, which failed.  Post op infection.. in hospital for two months after colectomy.  Take down and j-pouch surgery February 2007.  Overall has been good for the most part.  However, have had numerous flare ups.. blockages.. etc. which have increased over the years.. just recently found out from last scope that ‘afferent limb to pouch has narrowed’ which is a concern.  Go for follow up scope in September to monitor and see if is continuing to narrow..

cheers,

wendy
