At one month out you’re okay, and you should be able to make things better. Have you tried delaying some of these washroom trips a bit? For most J-pouchers it’s best to gently begin to “stretch” the pouch so it will gradually hold more. You may feel some mild pressure (or maybe a bit more that comes and goes), but you can start to take control of your washroom needs. It’s possible to have an accident, of course, as you learn the limits of your new body parts, but many go through this process without an accident. Good luck!
thank you scott i m trying to hold sometimes it’s hold sometimes it’s get late
You can use more loperamide, too - I find that bowel slowers work best when I use them to create a period of time without a washroom visit (I use mine at bedtime so I can sleep through the night). Other people use them throughout the day. I also like Lomotil (diphenoxylate/atropine) better than loperamide, but I don’t know if that’s available to try where you are.
Things are still pretty new, everything will be okay. Your doing great! Before you take more loperamide, I would ask the doctor first.
Seems like a lot of trips, but it is early still . You need to be sure you don't have pouchitis. A course of Cipro might be what you need. One loperamide isn't probably going to have much impact depending on the dosage. I have 2 at about 8 pm, then one just before bed (11 pm), and I only get up once during the night. I know people who take much more. Don't think there is any risk for larger doses as it's an over-the-counter treatment. Good luck,
I take psyllium husk every day. I mix a tablespoon in my OJ each morning and it bulks my stool up and decreases the urgency feel and trips to the bathroom. If I take loperamide with it I'm pretty much solid through the day and only go maybe 4-5 times a day.
thank you everyone for reply guys hope it will get better ! A i appreciate each one feedback

Your welcome!
You brought back memories of my early pouch days, beginning in 2008. But things DO get better. As some other folks in this thread do, I take psyllium each morning. Then a fiber gummy before lunch and dinner. Dinner is early - around 5:00 - so as to have a bm (or more) before bedtime. Also, I take Loperamide. I see GI specialists at 2 hospitals ( via my private insurance as well as veterans.) Both have told me I could take up to 8 Loperamides daily. I usually take up to 6. They help. I also try to eat sticky rice or potatoes with lunch and dinner. They're not great for weight control but they also help. I regret it when I don't do that. Good luck with your progress. It is not an easy path for many, myself included. But it could always be worse. I've adjusted my lifestyle which is still rewarding and fun. And my nightly martini is sacrosanct.
Might have to try that nightly martini!

I would strongly recommend calmoseptine cream and you should possibly be healed in about 2 months?
Good advice above. Calmoseptine is very good. I also use Balneol during the day when I need it. Your situation will get better. Best to you for improvement!
Some people find Calmoseptine too intense (I did). In those circumstances plain zinc oxide ointment, applied after every BM, works well.
It must be the Menthol that is too intense, yeah some people on here told me they do not like how the menthol gets too hot. Totally understandable. Zinc ointment makes me itch for some reason by itself. The menthol (anit-itch) in Calmoseptine helps that perfectly. Thank goodness there is stuff out there that we all can use since our tolerances are different. Glad people on here and everywhere can find what they need to help.
Thank you great advice i need to have patience i guess. Lol. I havent worked since surgery april 29th i was getting worried i would be able to go back without a diaper on.lol. retail. Is no joke
