Support here has helped. Just reading other stories.
Ive had some dark days since they took my colon out in 2008. It took three years and a second opinion but I got the J-pouch.
It's not perfect for sure and I sometimes think back to when my colon worked but I can't complain -- too much.
The trick for me had been VSL and Imodium and watching what I eat -- watch the fibre and anythng that causes gas.
I've managed to become an avid cyclist in the last six months, going on 80 Km (50 mile) trips without a bathroom break.
It's not perfect. I view this as a handicap, one we have to learn to live with and struggle with sometimes.
But life is worth living for me with this and I'm happy about that.
I hope I stay healthy.
Thanks again to all and I hope others find comfort.
