Four and a half months out, and I can now SLEEP THROUGH THE NIGHT!! WITHOUT WAKING UP!!!! WOOO-HOOOOO!!!!! (For the last three nights in a row.) I was scared I may never get a good night's sleep again in my life! You all may be the only ones who might be able to relate here. I am so excited about this sleep thing, you have no idea.

BTW, I finally updated my blog for anyone interested.

I may be sort of blubbery today but your blog made me a little teary-eyed. You just jumped back in with both feet, both arms and all your heart. And you're now a biker chick to boot! I love that new bike. And the new beau. You're a poster gal for this surgery, even after the horrendous complications you went through. Thank you for blogging about the very most excellent outcome (ahem)!

Congrats!!! Sleep is def. not over rated! I wake up once a night down from about 3 so feel good about that too. Just hate that I have to do so much, use bidet etc... and then bam wide awake!

PS I just read your update on your blog!!! Thanks for sharing, very inspiring. I have the same scars! Thankful for laparoscopic surgery.

Glad to hear you're doing well. You had one heck of a battle with takedown!

I'm going on 10 months as of Friday since my
first surgery. I did a four day ride on my MC
(Yamaha WR250R) two weeks ago down to the
southern Sierras into the Sequoia Ntl Forest
and back to Santa Cruz with no problems.

Next week a ride up to Rio Nido on the Russian
river for two days.

Just focus on the good!

Did you already have surgery two as well, or are you still in between steps? When you were talking about your rides, I got excited that maybe you were a local for a second, and then I saw how far away Santa Cruz is. (I'm on the exact opposite end of the bay area.) Yeah I'm really stoked about going on some shorter trips with my new bike but have to replace the tires first. Roll Eyes

Oh Marianne, that's so great! I hope it sticks!!

Srf1, that's awesome. If your name is referring to surfing, that's something I've been wanting to do for a long time, too. Hoping to learn this summer!

Thanks for all the support and kind words, everyone. You are all so sweet. I knew you'd understand.

Kathy, thanks for always being so supportive - it was you and Marianne that helped get me through it.

Liz, glad to hear you're hanging in there.
