Just a reminder to everyone. With the heat and humidity be sure to stay hydrated.

I am sure many of you know this but I thought I would share anyways. I finally found plain water at Target (Target brand) and Smart water that has electrolytes in it. No more yukky Gatorade or other drinks that made me sick. Krogers has Smart Water on sale this week when you buy 15 you get them for $.67 each. Awesome deal. Since I have issues with dehydration. Hope this helps someone out!!!
I drink a lot of diet soda. Yeah, I know, seems purpose-defeating. But aside from that, I increase my sodium intake a bit. Of course, up here in the great pacific northwest, lots of heat isn't a problem. We get rain and overcast skies year round and getting into the 80's is hot!
I've been pound showing like 8 big glasses of water everyday, plus a glass of soy milk. Gotta keep it up when it gets hot.
In the south, it is easy to stay hydrated with iced tea. Sweet, of course, and it never goes out of season.
Good post Judy. My cousin (who was perfectly healthy) passed away last summer of heat stroke at the age of 54. Now granted he worked outside but it was a huge shock to everyone. Stay out of the extreme heat and drink up!
Ice tea actually dehydrates if it has caffeine. Have to double up on water if you do tea, same with coffee.
Just wanted to share this.
FIT TIP: Make your own vitamin water. Add fruits instead of sugar for a natural sweetener for your H20. Cut the fruit into paper-thin slices or small chunks. Combine ingredients with water. Refrigerate 4-6 hours and serve over ice. So delicious and very refreshing!

I spike my water with nuun. It's a tablet that u drop into your water for electrolytes. Most vitamin nutrition stores have it. Works very well for just basic hydration or work outs.
Great ideas everyone! Thanks
