I had been on Humira for over 6 years and in 2012 I developed a squamous cell cancer on my shoulder and a melanoma on my leg. Then, just this past April (6 yrs. later) I developed another squamous cell cancer on my neck and another melanoma on my neck.

My doctor took me off the Humira in April because of the skin cancers. I have been on nothing and doing fine so far. My question is, Will my immune system build back up and not be so suppressed now that I am off the Humira? Or can I go on having complications and side effects because I put Humira into my body?

The effects wear off, but you still have the cancer risk, just based on history. Remember, skin cancers are fairly common in the general population, even without biologics.
