Have been on humira for 6 wks as well as pred. 20mg am starting to obstruct again Dr. said to up the pred by 2.5 until i get relief and stop the humira we are going to try remicade. He is not happy about me staying on the pred as the MRI i had showed a pocket of infection in back of the pouch and he is worried about it flaring up he wants me to have a ultra sound just to check things out. It is believed I now have Crohns due to symptoms I have as well as the results of biopsies. Have a consult in to Dr. Cohen in Toronto since June and no word from them although I would rather a medical option there does not seem to be much hope in that direction. Has anyone been on pred. and had it work and then after a while it stops working? Have been on this for about 7 mos with few side effects and able to eat most things stay away from high fibre foods. Had pouch since 1987 with problems off ond on last 10 years. Shawne

i have been on pred. on and off since my UC diagnosis in 2002. over the last couple of years i definitely felt that it wasn't having the same effect on my symptoms as it once had...
